Maritime safety committee meeting
The Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) deals with all matters related to maritime safety and maritime security which fall within the scope of IMO, covering both passenger ships and all kinds of cargo ships.
Our assistant director and technical manager Odd Rune Malterud is joining the Maritime safety committee meeting.
He reports an attendence of 1,300 participants at the Maritime safety committee meeting 107, in IMO London. The ITF provides 5 participants who for the next 10 days will, on behalf of seafarers, contribute to developing and accepting maritime regulations such as new energy sources and remotely controlled ships, to ensure future competence and sustainable manning.
