Wages and working conditions
The biggest advantage is the security that your pay and working conditions are looked after by skilled shop stewards and employees. As an active member, you participate in and influence the design of your pay and working conditions, laws and regulatory changes - both nationally and internationally.

NUME`s union representatives and employees are at your disposal for questions about your work conditions or assistance in matters relating to your working conditions  

Legal aid 
Members receive free legal assistance regarding working conditions, if the union considers the case to be procedural as a dispute. 

NUME has also an agreement with the law firm Lega24 AS regarding private legal assistance to members. The agreement provides reduced prices for all legal assistance. The union does not cover legal costs from which the member has ordered services without the association's consent.

Collective life insurance and funeral support for survivors
All members under the age of 62 are covered by compulsory group life insurance with an insurance sum of NOK 120,000 for survivors. See the insurance certificate here. 

The union also provides funeral support of NOK. 10,000 to members' survivors, regardless of age or cause of death. Application for funeral support must be submitted within 1 year of death.

Strike contribution
If you are subject to a strike or lockout, as a member you will receive a strike contribution from NUME.

Member benefits at Tryg
NUME has an agreement with Tryg on private and group insurances. This gives you as a member good benefits and discounts on your insurances. You can also gain access to the Tryg Pluss benefits program, which gives you several benefits. Read more about the benefits here.
